Laura Rice- From Purpose to Prosperity for Women- Life Coaching

From Purpose to Prosperity for Women – Santa Cruz, CA

The thing about chasing the money in your business is this: it probably doesn’t work for you very well.  You are a heart-based entrepreneur, you’re a Purposepreneur.  You got into this to give your gift, to be of service, to show up in love.

When we put our desire for money above our other values, it’s like the flow of the garden hose kinks.  The truth is that we don’t value money more than love, service or kindness.   I’m finding that when I prioritize my other values… love, kindness, authenticity, truth… and commit to living from that place, the money flows.  In fact, often times the less attention I put on money- the more it seems to show up.  Weird!
I’m not saying that you get to sit around and mediate all day picturing trees that grow money- and get rich, (although if that works let me know!)  We need to be in action, to meet money halfway.

Show up for the money, develop your relationship with money, but keep money in it’s proper place, and money will show up for you.

Have you ever made demands of money?  I know I have.  “I need “X” amount of dollars to feel safe.” Or…. “I need to make “X” amount of income from this group program to make it worth my time.”…

Have you ever made demands of people?  I know I have.  Relationships with people are not so different than our relationship with money.

Ever notice that when you demand something from someone, it makes them want to give it to you less?   And the energy of a demand is very opposite to the energy of trust… And, the energy of trust is important to develop as a Purpose-preneur.

When you know a Universal truth in one area of your life, it applies to ALL areas of your life.  If you know something to be true for love – it’s likely to also be true for money.

Take the saying: “What you give is what you get”.  True for love.  True for money.

So many of us are so busy trying to crack a money “code”, we forget that we already know SO much about manifesting, though we often fail to apply that which we know to money.  Why?  Because it’s a learning curve for most of us.  Offering our services in exchange for money is an edge.  But rather than make it a mystery, embrace that which you know.

You know how to give.  You know how to be of service.  Put those things above your desire for money.  If you aren’t paying your bills with your business, don’t try to start making 6-figures.   That would be putting a value of wealth above a value of sustainability.  Instead, go for sustainability first.  Get yourself confident in your ability to make money as an entrepreneur, to pay your bills.  Then go for 6-figures.

Revisit your purpose on a regular basis.  Revisit your passion for service, for giving and for integrity.

Allow your values of patience, self-love and trust to dance through you, letting money be the fuel for the engine driving your car of service.  Don’t let money be the destination, you’ll have difficulty getting there if what you truly value is love, freedom and happiness.  Let money be a tool, a byproduct.  Respect it, love it, but keep it in it’s proper place.

Very on time message Sage! You are absolutely right. In order to grow as heart-centered entrepreneurs, we need to keep operating in our purpose and be of service to our clients. Chasing the money devalues what we provide (transformation) and causes unnecessary stress. Thanks again for a great message!

Nice article Sage. It’s all so true. I am really clear about the passion and the purpose. My problem is that I forget to even ask for money, I’m so busy helping people. I need to find the balance. Looking forward to your summit.

Yes, I love this! I especially relate to the notion of making demands of money, and how this constricts our relationship with it. Receptivity is needed in order to receive, and I see in myself that when I’m trying to squeeze reality into “my” (who is this “me”, anyway?) notion of how it should be and what I should receive, I’m not open to seeing what I don’t know, to receiving the mystery of what life offers. Thanks for this article!

I love the timing of the Universe! My inbox is flooded with emails about making tons of money and having these humongous goals and dreams. I was wishing for something more in alignment with my desire for simplicity…and within 30 minutes your email arrived. As always ~ perfect timing!

Well written and wise, as usual Sage is sharing some “sage advice”. LOL I think one of the reasons early stage entrepreneurs struggle is because they’re desperate for the money. Once they get beyond survival mode in their business, then they start being more creative and open to possibility, and magic starts to happen. So even if the reality is you’re still at the survival stage (still getting the income from your business up to the survival level) you can still choose to trust, and to focus on the bigger game of service, instead of focusing on the money, and the money will likely flow faster and bigger as a result.

Thank you Sage! I actually just unsubscribed to many emails I was getting because they put so much emphasis on “making money” that I was losing sight of my purpose, my “why?” of what I am doing. Perfect timing!

This is wonderful, Sage! Something I’ve really been thinking about lately is the different energy and response between a demand and a request… Thank you for shining more light on that!

Great article Sage! and so very true! Since that’s also what I preach, I would love to share that article with my Certified Practitioners- with your permission and giving you full credit of course. Would that be alright with you?

I cracked up at the part about visualizing money trees – I love your reality-check. It reminds me of someone saying, “Pray, then move your feet.” There’s something elegant in this concept of a path between contemplating my navel and an in-your-face marketing approach to score big. Thanks for the wisdom there.

Money is such a potent subject and so many of our challenging patterns are unconscious, and we don’t have the tools to excavate them. Nice article.

Thank you Sage. This was powerful and very appreciated. When we are present in what ever we are doing, grateful for being able to do it… the energy increases and like magic, opens doors we can’t even fathom.

Namaste!

Sage, what a powerful message! I am working with this concept right now in my business. I want to help people. I need money to keep my business going. It is hard to market myself as a Wellness Life Coach. I want to do a Telesummit but literally don’t have the funds to do it. But I can love people. That is free! Thank you!
