When we feel like we “need” clients, it can put a pressure on us that is very difficult to navigate… this pressure can clog our creative flow and really stress us out.  First and foremost, give yourself a break.  You are claiming that you are going to trade your innermost gifts for money, which takes gumption and courage.  It’s not a path for the faint-of-heart.

Be sure to create client attraction goals that leave you feeling empowered, rather than setting goals that you can’t really control.

Rather than setting a goal like “I’m going to get 3 new clients this month”, set a goal of: “I’m going to put my gift certificates in five locations, create at least one newspaper ad and practice my enrollment abilities with 3 friends.”

Do you see how this helps you feel capable, because you can accomplish the latter, and you’re allowing the universe to do it’s part, rather than you playing God and trying to “Get” clients.

Here are three more Savvy tips for the Spiritual Entrepreneur

1)   Contact an organization where your ideal clients hang out and offer to give a f.r.e.e talk or consultation to a limited number of their members

I’ve done this at local bookstores & local chiropractors offices.  Offer ten no-cost consultations or discovery sessions each month.  Have people apply to get the consultation. Have them actually fill something out so you know they’re serious.

Don’t just use this session for coaching or healing, but rather take the time to ask your potential client what they really, really want in their life, health, relationships and career or business (focus on the specific area where you help people).

Then, ask specifically what’s in the way of them getting there.  Have them tell you all the reasons they’re struggling in that area.  Get them in touch with their ache or pain and address the cost of not addressing this area.  How is that affecting your family life?  How is that affecting your energy levels?

Give them a few tips including how you can provide step-by-step support. Have an authentic selling conversation and offer them a package, rather than just one session at a time. If they do your full pay option for your package, give them a significant discount (i.e $1,200 worth of sessions for $850 if paid upfront).   Include something simple like a workbook or audio in the package to make it more comprehensive.

If you sell 4 packages at $850 each month, you just increased your cash flow significantly!

2)   Create a beautiful gift certificate for a free 30 minute discovery session with you. 

Leave them around town, at the local bookstores and chiropractors offices.  Give them to current clients to share with their friends.

* Current clients & people who LOVE your work are your biggest resource for finding new clients!

Use the format above to do the discovery sessions, be sure to provide 30 minutes of heartfelt service before moving into the authentic “selling” part of the conversation.

** Educate yourself in how to do discovery sessions correctly.  It’s not as simple as meets the “eye”… most of us have the tendency to give too much away and not really educate your potential clients in the real value of working with you.

If you do too many of these freebies and don’t enroll clients, you’ll burn out, start making yourself wrong and doubting your abilities… and I want to protect you from that!

3)   Create a groupon offer using groupon.com

Give a discount to increase temporary sales or your customer base.  Be careful, you can get way more than you expect.  Use these sessions like a discovery sessions and be sure to offer your continued packages & services.  Have fun with this!

I’d like to share several very powerful things you can do to enroll your potential clients that you may not be doing already. Read on to hear some of my favorite secrets, because those who need you shouldn’t have to wait any longer, should they?

#1 Secret to Enrolling Clients Consciously: Love them into their “YES”.

People will want to work with you because they want to be in your vibration. They want to be in your presence. They want you as an advocate for their dream.

When you sit down to talk to them about purchasing a package from you or to do a discovery session, start by loving them. Find that part of your heart that can “SEE” them living the results they say they want. Let them know that you see those results as possible for them. They need to hear it – and you’re often the only one bold enough to declare this possibility for them aloud.

Consider what it’s worth to have someone truly believe in your dream… I think it’s invaluable.

People need you to help them see what’s possible for their health, their relationships and their finances. Many of us didn’t have families or communities who powerfully believed in and stood behind us.

Your potential clients need to feel you behind them and experience what it will be like to achieve their dreams. You can do that for them.

#2 Secret to Enrolling Clients Consciously: Be a Dream Advocate, not a Parent.

Do you ever get afraid of taking responsibility for your clients? Do you ever feel pressure to show up for your clients in a certain way? I understand.

It’s true that with great success comes great responsibility. And being responsible really only means the ability to respond. Are you willing to respond when your clients need you?

Are you willing to do your best to help your clients get what they want? That’s all anyone is ever asking of you, that you do your best.

It’s not your job to guarantee results. But you can guarantee that you have a transformational pathway that leads people to results if they are willing to do the work.

So be honest with them and relieve yourself of the responsibility… while boldly standing in a commitment to your client. Let them know that while you can’t guarantee results, you can assure them of what is possible, and that you will show them the way and stand by them on the journey.

Most times, that’s all any of us need: Someone to point us in the right direction and hold our hand when we need it.

#3 Secret to Enrolling Clients Consciously: Let the Transformation you offer do the enrolling.

When you can powerfully define the transformation you provide for people, you release yourself of responsibility of convincing anyone to buy from you.
You offer a transformation. The only question is: Does your potential client want this transformation in the way you’re offering it, or not?

And, if this is a sticking place for you, and you’re not quite sure what the transformation is that you’re here to provide, please read on to find out about a free resource to help you.
But for now, consider this: What results do people get from working with you? Or, what results would you like them to walk away with?

And, if you’re just starting out – please don’t make a bigger deal of this than it needs to be. You do not have to know the exact kind of client that you want to work with for the rest of your life.

I repeat, you do not have to precisely identify the exact right kind of client that you want to work with for the rest your life.

Rather, I teach my clients to build their business one program at a time. Put together a program that you want to offer, whether it’s a program that consists of 4 private sessions or 6 months of group sessions – - put something together, try it on and see if it fits.

All of it was extremely useful.  But I wish someone had told me bluntly: Take these tools, try them on, see if they fit, but be sure to always first and foremost: be yourself.

There are a few things you can begin doing right away to let your sweet soul be a sacred magnet for “selling” your business.

First and Foremost: Be Yourself

Last year I was asked to speak to a group in San Francisco.  I woke up the morning of my talk and I decided I was going to throw out some of the strategy I had learned and just tell it like it is.

I wove personal story into my speech and spoke of how fulfilling it was for me to raise money for my tithing organization: Hope for Indonesian Women in Bali.  I spoke to a couple of the real transformations my clients had gone through as a result of working with me.  I had tears in my eyes for a good chunk of my talk.

I enrolled folks in programs that day resulting in over 10K in sales, but more importantly, those students of mine are well on their paths to sacred, authentic promoting of themselves.

Just be yourself.  Whether you’re talking to one person, to a room full or conference line full of people… take a breath, tap into your heart wisdom and say what you know.

Secondly: Feel the Value of your Personal Service

When someone asks you what you do, it’s not the words you say that affect them.

Studies show that your words account for only 7% of the message you convey. The remaining 93% is non-verbal.  55% of communication is based on what people see and feel in you and the other 38% is transmitted through tone of voice.

So, the next time you’re asked what you do, take a breath and connect with your heart first.  Then, bring to mind one of your favorite clients or someone you have helped.  Infuse each word with the fulfilling feeling of service toward your favorite client.  Watch how differently you are received.

If you don’t have client success stories to share because you’re just getting started, go find someone to help, then ask them to explain how you helped them.  Hold their heart in yours as you let people know about your business or service.

Literally imagine yourself holding their heart, placing your hand at the back of their heart, as you tell someone about how you help, support, coach or heal… and bring their smiling face to mind as well.  Your presence speaks louder than your words, and your presence begins with your breath.  So slow down, tap in and then share.

Thirdly: Get Comfortable with Receiving $$$

Just as Mark Silver said when I interviewed him last week for the Spiritual Business Bootcamp… every act of business can be an act of love.

Yes, you’re a divine channel for your gift, but you’re also human.  Therefore, you need to be provided for.  Mark and I were discussing how many of our clients ask us: “How can I charge for my services when it’s not really me doing the healing/ coaching/ guiding… it’s Spirit… it’s a Divine Gift… How can I charge for that?”

To which Mark replies, you can’t.

But what you can do is trust that if you are going to be a divine channel of energy, healing or coaching for someone, then you can allow your client to be a divine channel for your provisions.  They can offer an exchange that helps you to have a comfortable quality of life.  Because, you may be God, but you’re also human, and so are they.

So breathe in right now, and know that you also get to receive.
You get to be provided for in this sacred dance of life, in fact… you already are.

Fourthly and Finally: Focus on What People Want

I once met a beautiful man who was a massage therapist at festivals.  He explained to me that he often times made 10K per month traveling around and doing massage at festivals.  I was astounded: “How in the heck do you do that?”  I asked

His presence spoke to me initially, so I didn’t doubt his honesty.  He went on to explain that he has a beautiful sign he painted that says: “My Specialty: Low Back Pain and Hips.”

He said that while other massage therapists are standing around at festivals waiting for work, he has a line outside his booth.  He had to bring in two other massage therapists to work with him.

Simple, powerful and effective.

Many people’s back pain eased, and ten grand per month, $$ ca-ching!

While some folks are just promoting massage, he’s promoting to the aches and pains people are struggling with as they ramble around a festival on dusty dirt crowded paths all day…

So many of us as healers want to focus on the inner process of what we do.  “I retrieve your soul,” says one of my clients… “I use a chakra balancing technique with colors to heal you,” says another.  But what neither of them are saying is that their work has cured people from chronic anxiety, eased migraine headaches and helped clients find their purpose in life making powerful career shifts toward a life of passion and fulfillment.

Don’t be afraid to take responsibility for the powerful benefits that you can provide.  Remember it’s not you who’s doing the healing or coaching in the first place, it’s happening through you.  And, your client is ultimately responsible for making the shift.

But when you hold back and don’t powerfully share the benefits of what you can do for your clients, you’re cheating people out of knowing about a gift that you bring.

Have you ever been envious of those further ahead? Maybe you’ve felt jealous of entrepreneurs with more clients, a better video, a prettier website, more followers, more Facebook comments, more… better… whatever? Me too.

My dear friend Ben Salzman is living his purpose, so fully and completely. He stands up, all shiny and happy and successful… to announce his upcoming prosperity workshops at our local Sunday Spiritual Center; Inner Light Ministries. I have to admit that sometimes I’ve felt… envious. (Don’t tell anyone please, this is just between you and me and the other thousands of other entrepreneurs who this email is going out to! LOL.)

But guess what? Last weekend Ben in his light and amazingness stood up to do the longest most beautiful self-promotion ever, and for the first time I didn’t feel it! I didn’t feel anything but happy for him, thrilled with the results his students were creating and proud to be his friend!

I was a little surprised myself!! I thought to myself “WOAHZAS!!! That was an amazingly good feeling. I was just plain happy for him and not triggered! How did that happen”? I wondered…

I searched back through the many Sundays I’ve spent at Inner Light, feeling some guttural part of my insides triggered by Ben, thinking about how my purpose is similar to his, and how dare he think he can just get up there and shine his light so fully (Okay this is becoming self-incriminating).

However, in searching back through my jealousy journey… I realized something different about today. What shifted was this: For the last few months, I’ve given myself permission to go full steam ahead with my purpose. Like really… FULL STEAM.

I wasn’t feeling the familiar pang of envy because I’m doing it too.

How often do we hmmm and haaa about what we want, not being sure what direction we want to go? When we see someone we’re envious of, this is a HUGE gift to us because it’s an indicator of something that we want in our lives or businesses. It’s like a big red flashing arrow POINTING you in a certain direction.

Many of my clients come to me seeking clarity. (Many of them feel like they’re not totally sure how to talk about what they do, therefore enrolling clients can be challenging.)

Here’s an exercise for business clarity that will change your life:

1. Think of someone you feel envious of, and imagine the trigger like a little sword of clarity announcing: You want that! You want that!!! Silently thank them; they’ve just saved you hours of over-analyzing your dreams.

2. Identify what it is about that person’s experience that you would like to be experiencing and write it down.

3. Set a goal to move in the direction of what you’ve said you want. Put a date on your calendar for a workshop, make a scary phone call to someone who could help you, set aside time this week to work on your website or write your book.

4. Tell someone you trust about your goal and plans. When we tell someone what we want to create and ask them to follow up with us, we hold ourselves accountable and we are 90% more likely to follow through.

Lastly, write it down here below, so that your community can witness you in action. Remember, taking IMPERFECT action is far superior to no action at all. Many of us sit on the sidelines waiting to have something “figured out” before just jumping in the river.

The current can be gentle and fun… and the water feels good.

One of my favorite things about the holiday is tradition and reflection.  The holiday marks a season that prompts me to reflect back upon my year, my accomplishments and my journey.  With the return of the light I can feel  hope renewing within me.

As many of you know, I’m going through a divorce.  (Note: I’ve been saying that pretty much all year).  Some would say- “Just get a divorce and move on!”  But the truth is, it’s taken most of this year to grieve, find my joy again, explore my life without him and heal.  It’s taken time, a lot of time… more time than I thought it would.

Real life takes time.

Real businesses take time to build

Financial sustainability takes time to establish.

Last month, a dear friend took me to a weekend workshop with Native American Elder: Paul Raphael.  What I learned there is simple… but will forever change me.  I’d like to share it with you because this concept is imperative to being able to create a life of purpose, prosperity & fulfillment.

I arrived for the “Honoring Transitions” weekend on the river in Petaluma, California with a heavy heart.  I had been pressuring myself to be ready to sign divorce papers with my husband for weeks, and had called several of my friends in tears every time it came close to having the conversation with my husband and chickening out.

After beginning by sitting around a sacred fire, having ceremony, song and calling in the elements, Paul began to explain that during times of transitions we need to be held, honored, celebrated recognized and given experienced guidance.  He also explained that with all the worldwide transition of consciousness and relationships shifting – that most people going through transitions aren’t getting the experienced guidance that we need.

In Native American culture, elders were called upon as a precious resource to help hold those in transition.  Elders have a life carved into their hearts that allows them to hold space for life’s losses.

When someone experienced the loss of a close family member in native society, they would be given a year to grieve.  The tribe would be sure they were fed warm food, taken care of and housed for a year- they were not expected to work.  At the end of the year, a ceremony would be held, and they would be invited back into normal life.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I heard this information.  I thought about all those I knew who had experienced such loss and hadn’t been held and honored in this way.

At one point when questions were being taken, I stood… almost involuntarily, and asked in a trembling voice: “Why haven’t I been able to sign divorce papers with my husband?  I’m ready to not be married anymore, but I seem to be completely resistant to signing the papers… can you help me?” I asked Paul.

Paul looked at me for a long while.  He then said, “I’ll answer your question but I’d like to tell you a story first”… and went on to tell a story of when his brother died.

A few years ago, Paul’s younger brother had died and even after nearly a year, Paul was still really suffering over his death.  Paul had nightmares night after night that he was looking for his brother and couldn’t find him.  He would wake in a panic.  He missed his brother terribly and began having a lot of anxiety; he felt he couldn’t function normally.

Paul finally decided to ask for help.  He called his older brother and told him about the nightmares and extreme loss he was experiencing.  Paul’s brother told him to meet him at the barn in an hour.  When Paul arrived at the barn, his brother had gathered 10 men, friends of Paul’s and his brothers from the community.

Paul was asked to tell the men about the nightmare, and about his loss.  After Paul explained his painful situation, each man went around the circle, stood and proclaimed his support of Paul.

Each man said: “I’m there for you.  If you need me, the amount of time it will take me to get to you is the distance from my house to yours.”  Then, Paul stood, and proclaimed his support to every man in the circle.

Paul went back to his life and never had the nightmare again.  And, though he’s felt waves of sadness about his brother, he feels healed.  He attributes this to knowing that he was holding the hand of every man in that circle as he let go of his brother.

Then, Paul got quiet and looked at me and said: “First of all you and your husband will always be connected in the heart, but you need to know beyond a doubt that you have hands to hold as you let go of your marriage.”

I wept when I heard this and could feel the truth.  I returned to Santa Cruz and asked a couple of my friends to have a ceremony for me, honoring the end of my marriage and proclaiming that I am not a woman wed to a man any longer.  Rather, I am now a woman wed to herself.

The experience of my ceremony changed my outlook on my divorce.  I can now feel the resources I have underneath me; holding my hand as I walk through my transition.

Our society has become so individuated that we forget how much we need each other.  We spend thousands of dollars on therapy and subconscious healing modalities that are all fantastic… but they DO NOT TAKE THE PLACE of… strong, loving community.

When we have a community of people who we know have our backs, are holding our hands and loving us no matter what, we feel safe enough to express, take risks, let go, try new things, hold our first workshop, ask for the sale and build our businesses.

Clearly, we can’t be everything to everybody.  However, those relationships that are most precious to us are invaluable.

Are you feeding the fire of the relationships that you know support you in your life and business?   Are you investing in relationships with others who really see you at a deep level and contribute to your success?

Whether you’re going through a transition or not… your relationships are a sort of currency for your success.   The truth is that not everyone is going to support, celebrate and uplift you which makes it that much more important to nurture the relationships that do support you.

Note: It hasn’t been my most blissful year ever, but rather- it’s been a year of extreme truth telling, regardless of how difficult it is to face that truth.  Furthermore, this year I’ve decided to pay close attention to my money, since I’m on my own for the first time in a decade, even though it scares me silly.

Money Loves Honesty.  Money Loves Alignment.  Money Loves Truth.

The more we tell ourselves the truth about where we are in our lives, the more we will become the money magnets we’re here to be.

The more we look at money, the more money wants to be with us.
Do you know how much money you have right now, exactly?
Do you know how much money you’ve made this year?
Go find out.

Look at the numbers, however scary.
Put your attention on your intention

If your intention is to have more money, it’s important to pay attention to the numbers.

I started to write out my ideas and web copy and I realized I was, pushing… pushing… pushing.   It felt like I was pushing a rock up a hill.

My ideas weren’t “sparking”, you know?
And I believe that when the ideas aren’t sparking – you’re wasting your time.

It’s been a BIG year for me.  I’ve had a huge relationship transition, I’ve moved, I’ve led 2 online training programs and my first retreat in Bali.  In fact, the entire year has felt like one big TRANSITION… anyone else notice a lot of change?

With all the changes, I’ve had to learn to find my own grounding, a new footing.  I’ve been learning about how to take care of my nervous system, how to listen to what it needs, when to slow down, when to breathe.   I’ve learned that my yoga class is a life-saver, and that hot baths are crucial.

I’ve been learning to take care of myself better, because I’m becoming someone different.  I’m becoming someone who can grow into my vision, and so are you.

Whether your changes look similar to mine or not, change is afoot.  It is part of the great shift we’re experiencing.  Spirit is training an army of lightworkers.  And, you are among us.  We are being prepared to serve in a new, big, expansive, graceful and heartfelt way.

In order for us to learn this new, more feminine way of showing up, we  have to unlearn what wasn’t working.  We have to unlearn old beliefs such as:

• Work is Hard
• We have to be ‘manic’ to get anything done
• Productivity equals Self Value.
• Numbers in the Bank Account reflect our Self Worth
• Building a business is a long slog up a steep hill

And the list goes on.

Why not adopt these new beliefs:

• I am a precious, courageous being who is here to serve
• My happiness matters more to me than ANYTHING
• I put my joy first and I know my business will follow
• Every idea comes with it’s own infinite supply
• I am willing to nourish myself into the inspiration for my business.

Because, when you’re inspired… ever notice that work just gets “done”, emails get sent or go away entirely, newsletters get written, web copy gets created, entire projects get put together in short amounts of time, and with seemingly little “effort”.

We can literally stretch time when we’re inspired.

So, why would I waste time trying to force myself to be inspired unless I absolutely had to?  Therefore, here I am, not trying to write my web copy for my next telesummit.  Here I am making a plan to truly rest and nourish myself back into a place of authentic, sparking inspiration for my next business project and quantum leap I will take.

When we put our desire for money above our other values, it’s like the flow of the garden hose kinks.  The truth is that we don’t value money more than love, service or kindness.   I’m finding that when I prioritize my other values… love, kindness, authenticity, truth… and commit to living from that place, the money flows.  In fact, often times the less attention I put on money- the more it seems to show up.  Weird!
I’m not saying that you get to sit around and mediate all day picturing trees that grow money- and get rich, (although if that works let me know!)  We need to be in action, to meet money halfway.

Show up for the money, develop your relationship with money, but keep money in it’s proper place, and money will show up for you.

Have you ever made demands of money?  I know I have.  “I need “X” amount of dollars to feel safe.” Or…. “I need to make “X” amount of income from this group program to make it worth my time.”…

Have you ever made demands of people?  I know I have.  Relationships with people are not so different than our relationship with money.

Ever notice that when you demand something from someone, it makes them want to give it to you less?   And the energy of a demand is very opposite to the energy of trust… And, the energy of trust is important to develop as a Purpose-preneur.

When you know a Universal truth in one area of your life, it applies to ALL areas of your life.  If you know something to be true for love – it’s likely to also be true for money.

Take the saying: “What you give is what you get”.  True for love.  True for money.

So many of us are so busy trying to crack a money “code”, we forget that we already know SO much about manifesting, though we often fail to apply that which we know to money.  Why?  Because it’s a learning curve for most of us.  Offering our services in exchange for money is an edge.  But rather than make it a mystery, embrace that which you know.

You know how to give.  You know how to be of service.  Put those things above your desire for money.  If you aren’t paying your bills with your business, don’t try to start making 6-figures.   That would be putting a value of wealth above a value of sustainability.  Instead, go for sustainability first.  Get yourself confident in your ability to make money as an entrepreneur, to pay your bills.  Then go for 6-figures.

Revisit your purpose on a regular basis.  Revisit your passion for service, for giving and for integrity.

Allow your values of patience, self-love and trust to dance through you, letting money be the fuel for the engine driving your car of service.  Don’t let money be the destination, you’ll have difficulty getting there if what you truly value is love, freedom and happiness.  Let money be a tool, a byproduct.  Respect it, love it, but keep it in it’s proper place.

The thing about being visionaries and entrepreneurs is we’re consistently saying “Yes” to the NEW. We are being called OUT again and again to move beyond our comfort zone.  To do and try things that we’ve never done before.  We are being put in a state of ‘discomfort’ on a regular basis.
Entrepreneurship requires us to meet new people, to learn to sell our services, to put ourselves into the role that most Americans rank as their biggest fear… to speak in public.  It doesn’t matter if you’re standing up at a networking event to introduce yourself or looking at stages of 100 or 1000, you are putting yourself “out there”, in that place where others can judge or criticize, or be jealous of you.

Who will you have to become to be that successful coach, healer, consultant, author, artist or visionary?   And what will you have to let go of in order to tranform into her (or him)?

I took myself on a solo camping trip last weekend even thought it was s-c-a-r-y!!  It felt like the right thing to do to instill in myself a quiet, intimate and personal “PAUSE” between chapters.  I laid myself down on the earth and let go… I gave my pain back.  The earth can hold it ALL.  And when I did, when I REALLY did, I felt a rush of familiar self-love, of relief… the “I’m not doing it alone” awareness.

What I found is that when we allow ourselves to release that which we may be clinging to out of old patterns of comfort or habit, we open up a sacred space in the channel of our being for the Universe to come in and show us just how safe we are.

And, if you’re being called to give your gifts on the planet at this crucial time… you can either fight against the current or allow yourself to flow downstream.  And like Richard Bach says regarding the one who ALLOWS the current to take her…

“Though I cannot see it with my eyes, I can trust that the current knows where it is going.

I shall let go, and let it take me where it will, Clinging, I shall die of boredom.  ‘The others’ laughed and said “Fool!”  Let go, and that current you worship will throw you tumbled and smashed across the rocks, and you will die quicker than boredom!

But, the one heeded them not, and taking a breath did let go, and at once was tumbled by the current and momentarily smashed across the rocks.  Yet as she refused to cling again, the current lifted her free from the bottom, and she was bruised and hurt no more.  And those downstream to whom she was a stranger cried, “See a miracle – she flies!”  …
And the one carried in the current said… “The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare let go.  Our true work is this voyage, this adventure.”

Love and Light on your day, Sage

There are moments when we’ll dream the big dream.
And… there are moments when it’s best to take life one step at a time.

Today, I woke up in a panic.  I had thoughts buzzing between my ears like mosquitoes and a mental to-do list that felt it was stacked up to the sky.  All I wanted to do was go back and dance on stage with my friends and be wrapped in the safe womb of workshop world.

Last weekend I was in my bliss while MC-ing and speaking at an event called the Spiritual Marketing Quest.  At the Quest, I had the familiar joyful workshop-y experience of being among light-workers who are here to expand, create, dance and celebrate together.

During the workshop, a lot of energy poured through me and I had one of those high experiences where I could see my future and glimpse the speaker, leader and teacher I’m becoming.

I could taste the sweetness of my own future events, retreats and vision quests I want to lead… and the people I’m here to serve.  I “flew with the angels and the hawks among the clouds” as I imagined the dream coming true, the lives touched…and then…
I woke up this morning with 800 emails to deal with and the reality of administrative tasks I’m not looking forward to and the hours that I need to spend in front of my computer and I just panicked.

“I can’t do all this, it’s too much, I’m tired, I’m not good enough, I’m not sure anyone will want it anyway…” (I’m sure your gremlins don’t say anything of this nature to you, but I decided to wake up and bust myself here.)

So…. PAUSE.  I’ve found that when I start “spinning out”, the best thing I can do is 5 belly breaths in through my nose, and out through my mouth.     Then, I took a good, hard assessment of my to-do list.  I determined what needed to be done today and I determined what could, well… wait.

My good friend coached me through a rough spot, “It will all get done in the end, she said… if it’s not all done, it’s not the end!” (I guess that’s good news.)
I’m discovering alongside my clients the value of holding the vision while keeping both feet on the ground.  We, as purposeful entrepreneurs, must hold our dreams close to our hearts and let those visions motivate us to sit down at the computer and get to work.

The only way a brick wall gets built is one brick at a time.

And the sweetness of a cup of tea, my pj’s and my cat cuddled up on my lap never hurt the working-from-home morale either.

It’s not the destination but the journey that matters… in the end.

How can you live your vision today, from RIGHT where you are?

Today, breathe in and bring your attention to something you appreciate about your current situation.  Feel that as a color in your body… the gratitude.  Then, breathe in a vision you have for your future, the hopefulness, and give it a color.  Then, allow those 2 colors to dance and mingle through your being as you sit down to do a task in your business.

Then, allow your actions to be infused with that inspiration and know that you are loved in this place, just for being YOU, not for anything that you DO or don’t DO.
